We seem to be getting asked a lot of questions about the adoption lately...I suppose that's because there's been a lack of news to report or blog about. Right now, we are just waiting. Our paperwork has been in Ethiopia since July, so we are paper pregnant. Our pregnancy is more than likely going to be the typical 9 month pregnancy, so we aren't "due" until around the end of March. Now, don't get me wrong, we would love an early delivery, however we are being realistic. Also, it is possible that we will wait even longer than that but we hope not!

If we receive a referral in late March and there are no problems in court, then we could feasibly travel by May or early June - this would be awesome! Right now, there seems to be problems with the proper paperwork being ready for the court hearing and some families are having to go to court multiple times. On Dec. 5, America World's current Ethiopian coordinator is actually moving to Ethiopia to help on that end of the adoption world, so we are hoping that her presence in-country will make the process flow more smoothly. We'll let you know all about the court process when that time comes, but for right now, let's just all pray for the referrals so that our family can move-up on the rather lengthy list of waiting families!

Hey Erica!! Thanks for the post on my blog about our daughter's wall ... it was fun to paint it ;)
I LOVE the picture you have with this post!! Do you care if I borrow it?? :)
Praying for you guys as well as for speedy referals and movement in the baby girl list!!
I just logged on this morning and asked Bo how you guys were doing, so I was glad to see an update. Hang in there. It will happen! I am sorry about your mother. I know how it feels to lose a parent and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Erica,
Thanks for stopping by our blog.
I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up with yours lately. My PC was down for a bit, and all my saved blogs were "lost" until I got it back up and running.
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Knowing she's in heaven has to provide some comfort, but I can imagine it is still very hard when you miss her. You're in my prayers as you go through this holiday season.
I'll keep checking back on your adoption progress. I can't wait to hear that you've got your referral!
