1 Week Until Court

I was sitting in court here in TN this morning and watching the hands on the clock tick away. I kept thinking that this time next week, I will once again have my cell phone attached to my hip as I await news of court in Ethiopia. Already, my stomach is doing flip-flops, so I can only imagine what I will feel like next Monday! Actually, I am rather peaceful about court, it is the windfall of activity that comes after court passage that has me antsy. I don't like having to deal with making flight arrangements. Once that part is done, a lot of stress will be gone.

Yesterday, Ashton and I got in the attic and started pulling out tubs of baby stuff. Ash is 4 1/2 and I have NEVER given away, sold, or thrown away anything that belongs to him - I know, pathetic. Well, I thought I was going to cry or at least become misty-eyed but I didn't! I kept looking at the picture of my little girl in the onesie that is far too big and tattered - these children need the clothes far more than my children ever did! The clothes that I am not keeping for Julianna, I am taking with me to Ethiopia for donations. Once my luggage is packed to capacity, I will then give the remaining items to a young girl that my sister-in-law told me about who is very young, pregnant, and on a very tight budget. Honestly, I felt really guilty as I unloaded tub after tub - we are such a blessed and oftentimes spoiled society. We have so much and take it for granted so frequently.
