My dad had surgery this morning and all has gone well - PRAISE GOD! The surgery was expected to last 2-4 hours but only lasted 1.5 hours! The doctor just stated that there were no complications and that he is looking good! He is now headed to recovery and then on to ICU for the next 24 hours. Hopefully he will get to go home in a few days. I have specifically requested that a scan be done to ensure that there are no blood clots before he goes home, and thankfully the doctor agreed because of our concern after Mom's death in November due to a clot after surgery.
