First of all, today is my 32nd birthday. Secondly, I won a case in court this morning that was very, very close. Thirdly, we found out that my Mom's headstone is ready to be delivered and set-up which is wonderful because it is going to be a beautiful memorial to her life. Lastly (but certainly equally important to the others), when I logged onto the Yahoo chat room for our agency, I discovered that 2 little girls were referred today! There is a rumor that there was a 3rd child but apparently that family does not participate in the Yahoo group, so we don't know them or any details about the child.
The referrals are so exciting! If you follow this blog at all, you have probably read of my concern about getting caught-up in the Ethiopian Court closures from Aug. to Oct. Right now, our agency states that the wait time for an infant girl is 9-11 months, however the current wait times are averaging around 10 months. Our 9 months will begin on March 25. I am hoping that by the time it becomes our turn that the wait time will be reduced back down to the previous wait time of 7-9 months. God is an awesome God and He certainly knows the desires of our hearts! We're learning to wait on Him daily, and at the same time, we are becoming increasingly excited about the future that He has planned for us! PLEASE KEEP PRAYING that forever families will be formed quickly!
