This morning, Erica's mother, Debbie, went to her oncologist for her report from a scan that she had on Tuesday...Praise God, she is still cancer free!
In August of 2004, we learned that my mom had B-cell lymphoma. She endured chemo and radiation for several months before learning that her tumor was "dead". This was a horrible time for my mother but even on the worst days, she was still trusting that God would bring her through the cancer and use her to minister to others - both of which have occurred. We laughed when her hair came back because it was red, red - prior to the treatment it was dark brown. Then, her hair began to change to very black and kinky - my mom had always had to pay big bucks for curls prior to the chemo! She is doing great and is a walking testimony about God's healing power.
Praise be to God for almost 4 years being cancer free!

Praise God!! I know how you feel. My mother is now almost 2 years cancer free, but the fear before the scan never goes away. I am not sure that you were aware, but she had lung cancer and had to go through surgery to remove 1/3 of her right lung and chemo. And like your mother, her hair came back curly as well. Thank God that they are both here with us and healthy.
Praise God from here too! My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma with tumors in his brain, chest, and liver. He was given 6 months at best. Eight months later he had a healing service at church. Within 3 months he was completely cancer free and remained that way until he did go home to the Lord -- another 14 years later!! (Glad you got my bracelets from JoAnne.)
