Birth Certificate but no Embassy news

This afternoon we received a copy of Ruhama's birth certificate and that's when we realized that the Ethiopian Court had changed the spelling of her name but it's really no big deal.  Her name at this time is Rohama Larry Reed.  Needless to say, we will be working on the readoption and name change as soon as she gets home!  Her birthdate is February 19, 2009, so she is now 8 months old.  It's so nice know a date because people would look at me funny when I would say that she is anywhere between 7 and 9 months old.

Here's her picture on her birth certificate.  She looks as thrilled by this process as I am right now.

By the way, we still don't have confirmation from the US Embassy but we are going to go ahead and book our flights.  I've prayed long and hard about this and feel like this is what we need to do in order to secure a flight to bring our baby home.  God is going to move this mountain, so watch out Satan!  Our agency  contacted the Embassy again by e-mail, phone, and in-person and think that we will have an answer by Monday.  Please pray that we hear positive news on Monday!

Praying and praying and praying a little more for this paperwork mountain and that the workers of the embassy would indeed realize the life changing work that they do. Praying that you hear back on Monday that everything is there and ready. "God please fill the Reeds with your peace and power, go before your servants and prepare the way, revealing your might and glory for all to see. And keep little Maura healthy and strong. Thank you for loving and caring for each of them. In Jesus Name, Amen."
